This results in improved privacy, security, and trust in identity throughout the health care system. Further, iShare Medical uses the iShareID Digital Identity to aggregate all of a person’s medical records from all of their providers into one complete, shareable, and continuously updated lifetime medical record. This also establishes data provenance (the source of where the data originated). For this reason, it is impossible to spoof or spam an iShare Medical transaction because the real identity of the sender and receiver is always known. This establishes trust in the identity to whom one is communicating. The iShareID Digital Identity uses X.509 Certificates that contain two key pairs, one key pair is used for digital signature and the other for encryption and decryption of transactions. This technology is also incorporated in the payers’ systems to communicate with providers.
